Our half mask meets the requirements of EN140:1999 – being made from Medical Grade PVC and TPE. The CK range of masks are compatible with all CK cartridges and other leading brands of which we can advise you.

The CK Cartridge Range

 

CK cartridges come complete with a new screw insert and inhalation valve diaphragm.

 

Our cartridge selection in currently undergoing tests to conforms to BSEN 14387 for Respiratory gas filters and confined filters vapours & testing  to conform to BSEN 143:2000 for dust particulates.

 

CK cartridges are currently being upgraded with a new filter system to meet the most current test standards available - please make any enquiries to sales@cksafety.co.uk regarding test certification. We are able to offer the service of secondary certificates to all our distributors.

The Half Mask Single Cartridge Range

A low cost half mask respirator that conforms to the technical requirements of the European Safety Standard for half-mask respirators, EN 140.

 

This product includes user friendly design features as standard. Sliding head strap, rolled edge face seal, droop snoot cartridge mode or front mounted, choice of colours, split harness, lightweight. The sliding headstrap allows the user to hang the respirator around the neck when not in use avoiding contamination by placing on a dirty surface.

 

The rolled edge face seal ensures maximum comfort and prevents soreness of the face. The droop snoot mode of the cartridge fixing allows compatibility with other face shields etc, where unimpaired vision is of utmost importance.

The lightweight design reduces fatigue, when worn for longer periods.

A choice of colours are available for personal preference: we can also offer a choice of materials TPR or Medium grade PVC

 

Currently available in in one size only (second size to be launched in 2011) The mask has been proven to fit extremely well to female faces and is often a mask of choice for industry employing female workers.

The CK Half Mask Twin Cartridge Range

Has all the features of the single cartridge respirator but has been specifically designed for the wearer who requires a slightly reduced inhalation breathing resistance e.g Heavy manual work.

Compatible for use with face shields, welding shields etc.

The CK 28 Day Disposable Half Mask Respirator

Made from medical grade PVC. This respirator is designed to conform to the requirements of the EN405. The standard does not require any maintenance records to be kept and the respirator can be used for a period not exceeding 28 days.

Our user friendly twin filter respirator comes complete with A1P2(s) - organic vapour/dust combination cartridges. All the comfort features found in the CK 1004 respirator are included in this product. Cartridges are not replaceable.

 

Colours available: Red, Blue and Black.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

 

We are happy to advise our customers about how to find an accredited Respirator Face Fit Training course to give you the skills and knowledge to meet the requirements of HSE282/28 for Competency of Fit Testing Operators.

CK European Safety Equipment Ltd has 2 qualified Fit Testers who will be happy to assist you.

 

Fit Testing Of Respirators -  Training required

 

RPE Fit Testing is required for all tight-fitting facepieces including all filtering facepieces (disposable face masks), half masks and full-face masks. This includes negative pressure full-face masks as well as power-assisted full masks, and both self-contained and air-fed breathing apparatus.

 

Information Document HSE 282/28, recommends that RPE Fit Testing should only be conducted by a trained competent person.

 

The COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations include a requirement that the initial selection process for all tight-fitting facepieces should include face-fit testing to ensure the wearer has a correctly fitting device. Face-Fit Testing is also required under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations and the Control of Lead at Work Regulations.

To be competent, the fit test operator should have adequate knowledge and have received adequate instruction and training in the following areas:

  • Regulat ions and Guidance

  • The Purpose and Applicability of Fit Testing

  • Procedures for Selection of Adequate and Suitable RPE

  • Fit Factors and Protection Factors

  • Examination Procedures for RPE, Identification of Maintenance Problems

  • Correct Donning Procedures and Pre-Use Fit Checks

  • Qualitative and Quantitative Face-Fit Testing

  • Sampling from the Facepiece

  • Diagnostic Checks on Equipment

  • Correct Fit Testing Procedures, Purpose of the Fit Testing Exercises

  • Problem Solving

  • Capabilities and Limitations of the Fit Testing Equipment

  • Interpretation of Results
